Norman Rockwell Inspired Photos | Travel Tuesdays

One of my favorite American artists is Norman Rockwell. I love how he portrayed whimsical moments, full of life, humor and the American spirit in his paintings. They make me think of summer. Of childhood. Of climbing trees and catching frogs with my brother. Of long hot days and cold delicious ice cream cones… scraped knees, rope swings, fireworks, fireflies.

I always felt inspired by his work and would often try to emulate that feeling of a more simple world into my photos. A world where children were always playing outdoors, flew kites in front of big red barns and curiosity led them nose to nose or ear to ear with the furry creatures they found at the local county fair.
