I had been back home in NJ for about 6 months before I got the itch to move west again. Something about the vastness of the west and shocking beauty of the mountains always made me feel like it was where I belonged.
Things back in Jersey were going great. I had actually landed a gig freelancing with the New York Times but something kept telling me my time was up back east. I didn’t take the opportunity with the NYT lightly but over the last 10 years I have always followed my gut instincts and in the long run things always seemed to have worked out.
So I picked myself up one more time and made the long journey west. My final destination- Boulder, CO. I don’t know anyone there, have only visited once many years ago but thought it was as good a place as any to try and plant some roots or continue to spread my wings.
