After I graduated college I did an internship at the Jackson-Citizen Patriot in Jackson, Michigan. One of the first assignments I was handed was to drive to Detroit and photograph their new polar bear exhibit. I’m pretty sure this was when I first fell in love with being a photojournalist. I couldn’t believe my “job” was to walk around a really beautiful zoo making photos! This photo couldn’t have worked out any better. The framing of the little heads of the boy scout troop, the boy in the corner with his hand on the glass and finally the polar bears wrestling and looking at the little faces peering back at them. Priceless.
